Locket Giveaway

As the first giveaway for the year, I thought I would offer a very special locket that will no doubt touch everyones heart. On this locket I have used a gorgeous postage stamp from Republique Rwandaise (Rwanda), it was issued in 1975 for International Women's Year and is one of a kind. The brass 46 x 38mm oval locket is at least 35 years old as it is from a secret stash from the 1970's.

To enter, all you have to do is leave a comment about what being a woman means to you and follow my blog if you're not already. This giveaway will be drawn at the end of March.

Here's mine- Being a woman in today's society is about putting everyone else first i.e. children, husband, pets and then sneaking away with a bottle of wine, a bath full of bubbles and the best chocolates you can afford and NOT sharing them with anybody!!

  1. I love your lockets, they are whimsical and beautiful.
Being a woman today means having lots and lots of options. Work, family, love, life - they are all tough to balance, but at least we can find our own rhythm. I look at some of the wonderful women who came before me in my profession - they had to give up everything to be successful in their careers, or give up their careers to be successful wives and mothers. Thank goodness we have choice.

  6. Being a woman for me means to be strong even when you're feeling weak, being caring even when you're feeling selfish and being creative when you're struggling to find inspiration. I love being a woman. Kat xx

  8. Being a woman today is great! You can be anything you want: single, wife, mother, executive, business owner, designer, plumber, builder.... the only thing you can't truly be is a man (who wants that anyway!?!)
